I went to the Hilton for an all girls get a away weekend. Our room had no refrigerator, no microwave and most of all no free internet. The maids came at about 7pm to clean our room, So I had to call the front desk for more coffee and towels. The ro

We stayed here less than 24hrs and left. Waited in the lobby for 3 hours while the room was made ready. Every half hour we were told it would be a few more minutes. We did check in at 4 which is their published time. The room on the 19th floor was smoky and the queen beds were actually double beds. For only 2 nights, we figured we'd just enjoy the beach and view and forget the cramped room. (there were 4 adults and 1 child with rollaway bed) Day 2 brought an afternoon thunderstorm and within minutes, I could hear water dripping inside the closet wall. Then the sound rose within the wall and the water seeped out from under the molding into the carpet saturating it. As we packed to leave, maintennance was wet vacuuming the rooms adjacent to ours. Also, the A/C vent started spraying water out onto my daughter. When I went down to check out, I asked if I would be charged for the second night(it was 4 pm again) The manager told me yes he couldn't give a refund since the room was booked online(!!) They did offer a restaurant voucher which I declined. It's bad.

I was assaulted in the Catch 31 Restaurant on New Years Eve and hotel security did not go after the person who hit me in the back of the head. Instead, they jostled my date and I out of the restaurant into the lobby. Security said that they did not see the person, however, the head of security told me to stop looking at him, AFTER, he hit me. They did not assist with any medical treatment, did not inquire if I was allright and my fiance had to call 911 for an ambulance. She was threatened when she was on the phone with the 911 dispatch operator. We have stayed at the hotel previously and had been frequent patrons of the restaurant. I have attempted to contact the hotel manager, who as of now, has not returned my calls. This may have been an unfortunate incident, however, I feel that the head of security was "over his head" in this situation. He opted to ignore the difficulty of going after the person who initiated the attack from behind me.

It had a beautiful location. The rooms were very comfortable and well kept. When I needed information, the front desk people were very helpful and friendly. The only problem was with reservations, but the problem was immediately taken care of in a very friendly manner. I would recommend it to friends.
They answered questions I had about nearby amenities. They handled the reservation problem with a lot of care.
I am very likely
to return to the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
