There are many trendy boutique hotels in New York City and while some of them might be more hip and stylized compared to the Hilton, most of them are hit or miss. The Hilton is perfectly located - near Times Square, all major subway lines and steps away from Central Park.

There are no surprises at this hotel and the staff and amenities make business travel a breeze. The rooms are simple but elegant and the breakfast buffet on the Gold floor is superb. Warning: go for breakfast early (7am) or later (10am) because the free buffet gets mob like during peak breakfast hours.

If you are a Hilton Gold Club member you have the luxury of checking in on the Gold floor and therefore avoid the crowds in the lobby. The lobby crowds (due to many conventions which take place at the hotel) is my only complaint but it's New York, so crowds are par for the course.

The hotel has wonderful accommodations. But I would not advise using the room service.

The staff was rude to us and asked us not to eat in the lobby, yet another group was eating in the lobby and nothing was said to them. Also, our sheets were dirty when we arrived so we called for clean ones. They never arrived, although I called again and I even went to the front desk to ask what was happening.

The location is ideal and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were comfortable but nothing extraordinary. We did have a problem with the elevator and we were stuck on street level for thirty minutes but the staff made up for it with the pleasant attitude.

The hotel is convenient to Broadway. It can be difficult to locate at first. The sign needs to be more visible.

This hotel made me feel extravagent: It was just off Times Square; therefore, it's in the high rent district. The stay was on the Hiltons Honor program, so we felt extravagant staying at a very expensive property.

It's a beautiful hotel. But room service was extremely overpriced with an additional $3.00/person charge to deliver and 15 percent gratuity. Charge was $100.00 for four sandwiches and no drinks is way overpriced to me.
