Hilton San Francisco Fishermans Wharf Hotel

I travel for business and do not need the added stress of wondering if my room will be available when I arrive.

I booked and confirmed a room at the Hilton Fisherman's Wharf. The room was confirmed with a credit card and I received a confirmation number.

When I arrived I was told that there were no rooms available and they offered me a room at an INFERIOR hotel nearby. I was not the only 'guest' in this situation, another woman at reception had exactly the same problem.

I wonder how many other late arrivals were turned away on this day ot other days.

Convenient location, clean rooms, and courteous staff! What a wonderful experience!

Great hotel and great location. I could smell the new furniture and linen!! very nicely done.. beautiful large rooms and the best location in the city.

Short and sweet, just a beautiful place, nice staff, beautiful rooms and close to everything. We parked our car at the hotel and never drove again, took the trolley or walked. You can walk to the Wharf, Pier 39 and North Beach in 5 minutes. Lombard St. took 10 minutes and it is a great little walk very cool houses and architecture. Great hotel for the money!

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. But the hotel is obviously old, even though it has been renovated. The walls were very thin and we could hear loud stomping around upstairs. The staff refused to move us to a top floor room, stating no rooms at all were available.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The front desk staff was very friendly and they even had apples and Ghirardelli chocolate squares upon arrival.
