It was a great hotel with a tremendous staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable and it is a short walk from Arden Mall, a huge mall that meets nearly every shoppers needs. Numerous restaurants are also within walking distance as is a megaplex theater center.
I am very likely
to return to the Hilton Sacramento Arden West.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
I left wondering "What has become of Hilton?" A big hotel, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the teenagers renting multiple rooms. Management was feckless. They actually told a guest to investigate a noise complaint/party...

Can't tell if hotel management was treating me differently because I booked through a discount web site or whether they were just clueless. I was actually told by the front desk manager to investigate a noise complaint myself. I guess the multiple rooms of teenagers on the floor below was too difficult to identify. It's a big hotel; and it looks like they will do whatever it takes to fill the beds. Be forewarned.

Worst coffee in any hotel/motel that I've stayed in during the last 2-decades. The coffee makers in the rooms were cute, but almost unusable -- quickly bubbling out a wretched brew. I experimented with a few different options. Nothing was drinkable, except for the most stouthearted. The restaurant's coffee, the coffee served during banquets and organized meals, etc. was almost as bad as that spewed from the rooms' tiny coffee gadget. The one saving grace was the coffee cart near the main entrance. For $2, you could get a cup of coffee and cream/whatever. At least, if you didn't like it, the cart guy would apologetically thank you for letting him know, and he'd brew a fresh pot. This was as good a cup of joe that you could come by in the hotel.
As far as the Internet goes, the Hilton is miserly. The phones were hard-wired to the walls, and the Hilton wanted to charge $10 a day for Internet access in the room. We were unable to stay up on local news from home. We were worried about the fires...
Visit the Motherload. The hotel is in a light-industrial area, with nothing much within a short walk. The Motherload is a gritty dive bar a quick walk away, and deserves a visit! The folks are friendly. The prices are cheap, and they make you feel like they value your patronage.
In short, the bed was very comfortable, the coffee was unbearable, it was in the middle of nowhere, and the prices were high.

Can't recommend to anyone in Sacramento. Quite frankly, for a Hilton hotel I expected more. Service was lackluster, the room was TINY and in a state of disrepair. It hadnt been cleaned before we arrived, and the bed was barely made. A broken TV remote took more than an hour to replace, and they actually called back at one point and suggested we just go to the sundry shop to buy batteries to see if that helped so they wouldnt need to come upstairs. The executive lounge was open 24 hours it was unattended and in need of restocking, good for getting some bottled waters for free but not much else. They have two computer terminals in the lounge as well that function as a business center, but there was a line for both stations due to in-room access issues other guests were having. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone there are MUCH better properties in Sacramento.
