Hilton Pleasanton at the Club Hotel - Page 1

First off, the hotels rooms are expensive. $289/night!! Their dine in area was awful. The fryer broke and their menu is not impressive. The food I did end up ordering was terribly made and cold. $60 for 2 cold raviolis. Their bartender left early so the service manager "Comped" an "Expensive bottle of champagne". Yeah right, my brother read the bottle and it was cheap, non alcoholic champagne. Our smoking rooms can with NO ashtrays, forcing us to smoke outside. The reason I got a smoking room is because I wanted to smoke INSIDE. Otherwise, what's the point? The "high speed" internet was a joke and costs $9.99/24s. Slower than DSL if you ask me and constantly disconnected me. Nobody helped with luggage, even while my brother and I were struggling in the LOBBY. Better to just stay at the Best Western Pleasanton Inn on the other side of Hopyard. Cheaper and MUCH MUCH better!

This hotel is terrible.

The first room they gave us had a broken lock on the door. They moved us (I had to carry my own luggage) to another room which had a bullet hole in a window. The decor was dated and nothing special. There was a crack in the mirrored closet door. The linens smelled funny, as did the couch.

The restaurant was expensive and the food was absolutely terrible. The breakfast buffet made McDonald’s sound attractive. The only thing I liked the whole weekend was a $12 Cobb Salad which was actually, and surprisingly, good. The in-N-Out Burger down the street is a far better bet.

The main elevator was out of service the whole time I was there. The hotel staff/service was not memorable in any way, and one of them told me in hushed tones that the new owners were too cheap to fix anything. You could tell, it looked like the place was slowly going to seed. I will never, ever return here.

We had an awesome stay at the Hilton in Pleasanton. When we were leaving from our business meeting we had a flat tire. I went in to ask to use their phone directory to call someone for help. They said they would take care of it and one of their personnel actually changed our tire! I was shocked! Thank you Hilton staff, you are the best!

This hotel made me feel respected: I am handicapped and they went out of their way to insure we had an accessible room that would work for me. They changed our room for us and were so helpful to my husband and I.

I have been to Pleasanton before, for work. Of all of the hotels in the vicinity, the Hilton is the best. All of the others have a lot of freeway noise that you can hear from your room, and the facilities are not as nice.

I had a great time. The service has always been great!
