Hilton Pittsburgh Hotel

I stayed at Hilton Pittsburgh recently for a business convention. The hotel was nice, but not as nice as I anticipated for a Hilton. The hotel is under renovation though, so hopefully once completed it will be much better. The room was nicely furnished, however there are apparently problems with ventilation, as our room was always very humid. At one point, the clothes that I left laying out on my bed while I was out of the room were damp when I came back due to the humidity. And the hallways and rooms had an odd, damp, musty smell. The vent on the AC unit in the room seemed to be installed incorrectly - the air blowed toward the window, which meant that most of our air went into the curtains rather than into the room. The TV was small. Hopefully some of these issues will be addressed with the renovations that are underway. Other than that, the room was comfortable and clean, and the location was convenient to downtown. The conference I attended offered a shuttle between the hotel and the convention center; the hotel shuttle filled the gap when the conference shuttle was not reliable.

Most of the staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The concierge and shuttle van drivers were wonderful to us during our stay.

Room service was good- food was delivered quickly (usually less than 30 minutes) and was served at the right temperature. Staff delivering room service were friendly and professional.

Overall, I would probably consider staying here again, provided that the renovations were complete.

The Hilton chain sets the standard for luxury! The rooms were on the small side, but the beds were very comfortable.

This hotel made me feel pampered: The little amenities such as expensive shampoos, throw pillows in rich fabrics and dark woods contributed to the pampering feeling.

The stay was uneventful, which was exactly what was desired.

This hotel made me feel entertained: The bar staff was entertaining.

The room was filthy. The sheets were not changed. The coffee pot was still full of last guest's coffee and the toilet was dirty. If you stay there stay at your own risk..

The room was not available as promised. The furniture was dusty on tops. The bathroom needed service. They had limited television channel selection. There were too few TV channels.

This hotel made me feel secure: There were adequate locks on the door to prevent unauthorized entry.
