Stayed here while visiting our son who is stationed at Pensacola with the Navy. We were greeted warmly by everyone from the minute we walked through the door. Our room was on the small side but we didn't go there to spend our time in the room, so it ...
38 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We recently booked a 4 night stay because of the hotel website showed such a nice, tropical, relaxing pool area overlooking the beach. Just what we were looking for!
Although the rooms and pool area was nice, there were only a few lounge chairs around the pool. It was a nightmare. Some guests got out there at 6am and reserved chairs with a towel or a hat and hoarded them all day, so needless to say, we enjoyed our days lounging on the CONCRETE. We asked the management for more chairs, but they said "most of them are in the shop for repair" and did nothing! There was ample room at the pool for 4 to 5 TIMES the charis that were out there. In places, it almost looked like an empty parking lot.
I will say that most of the employees were very nice though.

Although the Hilton Beach Resort (formerly the Hilton Garden Inn) in Gluf Breeze FL is pretty nice, There are almost NO pool lounge chairs. On our 5 day stay there, we had to sit or lay on the concrete most of the time. There were room for 4 to 5 TIMES MORE chairs around the pools than were there. We reported it & asked for more chairs but they said most of them were in disrepair.

My room was really clean and had a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico. Room service was prompt and the food was delicious. The hotel is in a great location with restaurants, lounges, gift shops etc. very close by. I only had one issue during my stay... I went to the bar to get a drink about 5 minutes before closing time and they would not serve me. And being in the Hospitality/Restaurant/Bar line of business, service is never refused until closing time. I was disappointed at how rude the bartender was. Other than that, the stay was pleasant. I might return to the hotel in the future.
