Hilton Norfolk Airport Hotel - Page 1

This was the first time I have stayed at a Hilton hotel. My wife and I had to stay in the area for the weekend for research purposes and we did not really care where we stayed. The room was great, the facilities were good, the food was nice, the staff was friendly. For what we paid we truly got a bargain.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: The check in was a breeze, we had our room keys in less than a minute with no waiting.

It was a wonderful experience. It was nice, quiet and affordable for the convenience of being near the airport for an early flight the next morning.

The location, comfort and service have always been above expectations. They have a friendly and efficient staff with the exception of room service picking up dirty dishes from the hallways. This sometimes takes awhile, and housekeeping will not do away with them on their runs. Other than that, all things have been satisfactory and above average, especially for the price. The only other thing about this hotel that I don't like is that they have changed their lounge area, which is very nice, but there is not a smoking area anywhere indoors, nor is there a place outside convenient from the lounge to smoke.

This hotel made me feel respected: The staff always addresses us with politeness. They don't act like we're inconveniencing them by being there, like we have been treated at some other places.

Their check in and check out system was down when we checked in. They did not have a bill for us when we checked out. They did not have the bill correct when it was sent and charged to my credit card. They did not give me my Hilton honors points credit.

This hotel made me feel respected: They were very polite and respectful.
