I liked the hotel because it was in a good location and it was clean and well run. I felt the food in the hotel restaurant was a little expensive but service was good and I ended up eating in the restaurant every night instead of going out. There was a slight problem with the original bill given to us at checkout but it was quickly taken care of with no fuss. The only complaint I have is that the meeting rooms were way too hot.

This hotel made me feel content: I felt the room was just right. It was comfortable and quiet enough to let me sleep. The room was cleaned while I was out and the hotel staff responded quickly when I asked for additional shampoo.

It's a great location. However, on the first night of our stay I was bitten by bed bugs. The room was changed upon notification, however, no apology or compensation was offered. At check-out when asked how our stay was and we stated there it was less than perfect the clerk had no response.

The room was very spacious and clean. The entire hotel was very clean and well maintained.

In a city like Manhattan that is end to end with great hotels, this is not one of them. It is not even a particularly good conference hotel. It's noisy, inattentive to requests from guests, unimaginative, and boring.

Unless you have to be onsite, find something close (like the Warwick) and get a better "bite of the big apple".

I didn't like that the fitness room was an extra charge.

I really liked the location of the hotel as well as the overall look. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful.

While the Hilton New York looks very classy from the lobby, and the rooms are clean and relatively nice, the lack of friendliness and helpfulness takes away from all that.

The rooms are small, but I could live with that if the service was good. No one offered to take our bags, not one time in three days! No one stood ready to help us with a taxi during the "off hours" when there wasn't a waiting line or to help with directions. We could never get anyone to answer the information or concierge phones when we called from our room or when we were away from the hotel and tried to call back there. There was a charge for leaving our bags before our rooms were ready, whereas other Hiltons have offered this as a courtesy.

The breakfast for the Hilton honors customers was a real let-down from some of the other Hiltons in NYC. We will not choose this Hilton for our stay again.

They did not let you park the car out of the garage but they charged forty dollars for it. The rooms were a bit small for that price.

I find the Hilton chain to have predictable high quality. It lets you know of their specials. Its locations are usually quite convenient.

The staff was very timely in keeping the room clean. They delivered bottled water to our room at a late hour at our request. The staff inquired about our comfort and our needs on a regular basis, but not in an intrusive manner.

The hotel has a good location, a competent staff and it is very comfortable. We are loyal to the Hilton brand and this is a very adequate hotel for the New York area. It is within walking distance to the theatre district and taxis, while the subway and buses are all readily available.

The theme was retro so the decor was cool. Our room was penthouse like and it had a great balcony with a terrific view of the city. My advice is to not rely on the bar food.
