It was comfortable and upscale. The staff was nice and helpful.

This hotel made me feel content: The check in person was friendly and she went out of her way to let us know when our room was ready. She remembered our faces even though the hotel was crowded.

I am very likely to return to the Hilton New York.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The hotel had a good location and comfortable beds but the rooms were small and we had to call to have the in room coffee service and water replaced.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hilton New York.
I might recommend it to friends.

50 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The bathroom had pubic hair on the toilet and the floor. Two light fixtures in bathroom were exposed with no covers. We made reservations 3 months in advance and planned this Memorial day holiday as a grand welcoming to summer. The bathroom was a real turn off and I started checking the sheets and rug to make sure they were clean. They were, or I would have changed rooms. The location is superb, near everything. The rooms decor was ok. Ice machine down the hall was out of order the whole time we were there, so we had to go up a flight to get ice. This would not be something I thought I would see in a three star hotel at $350.00 a night. Next time I'll try the Waldorf it's cheaper!

38 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

The hotel restaurant was excellent, the staff was generally helpful including local restaurant suggestions, the appetizers at the bar and the room service were good. I really enjoyed the executive lounge. The bathroom was not fully stocked with towels regularly and I had to look for maid service on several occasions which was inconvenient and annoying.

This hotel made me feel content: The room was at a comfortable temperature and the operators were friendly and helpful.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hilton New York.
I might recommend it to friends.

member icon Window's on half the hotel don't open

45 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for business

I am a Diamond Hilton member, and after multiple stays in the NY area, this is the worst. First, no where on the website is it disclosed that the windows on one side of the hotel don't open. Every time I stayed here before they did. There is some type of renovation going on, so they literally screwed the windows shut on half the side of the hotel (ask when you reserve so you know which side if that is important to you). I called the front desk as soon as I got to my room, and some guy was rude, told him I was Diamond, and asked to change to the other side of the hotel, he said the hotel was booked solid. Now I know not too many people really care about an opening window, so I told him (since it was about 9 pm) just put me on the other side since I had not used the toilet, bed, etc. He said no way. Well, I was tired from a long trip so I decided to just make the best of it. This hotel advertises itself at the biggest in New York, yet when I went downstairs for a cocktail (Sunday night), the Bridges Bar was closed for the day, and the other one shut down at midnight. This is a complete joke. If this is supposed to be a prime hotel in a prime area, what is management thinking that in the Big Apple that you can't get outside your room past 12:00 am for a drink or food, except for room service.

The hotel was strategically located for area attractions. I could easily walk to numerous attractions. I liked the beautiful lobby and the helpful staff.

This hotel made me feel secure: After 1 o'clock in the evening, the lobby can only be entered by showing your room key. Security is at the front door checking each person to make sure they are registered guests.

I am very likely to return to the Hilton New York.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I like the location, near the theatre district and Times Square. The Hilton Honors check in and check out save time. This facility is one of the few hotels that can accommodate the activities of my conference.

It was a convenient location, with safe, clean, comfortable rooms at a competitive price for New York. It was close to Central Park, theatres and shopping.

Our room internet access did not work. That actually presented quite a problem because I was severely food poisoned, very ill and I could not access internet information about my condition. Also, the hotel did not provide a thermometer for me to check my body temperature.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The gentlemen who checked me in at the desk was especially courteous and helpful.
