Overall the staff was friendly and stayed out of the convention's way. However, the night staff was problematic. If you are only staying for the night I would say the hotel is fine.

I thought the hotel was great and had a lot to offer. The beds are very comfortable and the new flat screen televisions are great. My kids enjoyed the pool. The staff was friendly and helped with directions to different attractions around KC.

We attended a convention so that's the reason we stayed there. The room was very comfortable. We had asked for a king sized bed and got two double beds. Everything else was great!
The decorations and the whole atmosphere were wonderful.

I was surprised by the lack of internet access in the room. For a hotel of the Hilton brand to charge for local phone calls and internet access makes it look cheap. In this day and age of connectivity it seems cheap that Hilton would deny basic access without charging for it or making clients come down to the lobby to use the service for free. This was the only problem I had with this hotel. The staff, except for the booking clerk, were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the surrounding area restaurants which was very helpful.

We were in the hotel for a convention that happens every year. The staff for the restaurant is always caught on the wrong foot, they are the slowest employees I have ever seen and I do not use that restaurant if I can possibly avoid it. The food is only average at best and it can be aggressively mediocre. There is a wide array of restaurants around, but it is really hard for the people who come to the convention that do not have a car to go to them.
