24 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

This hotel is simply wonderful and it has grown since my last visit six years ago. It is right in the middle of Waikiki and a traveler does not really need a car because everything is right within walking distance. The hotel offers a huge array of retail places and restaurants. There is a nightly luau at the pool and a fireworks display on Friday evenings. The beach is right next to the hotel where a gorgeous sunset is available almost every night.

This hotel made me feel pampered: The director set up a complimentary stay in the famous Rainbow Towers and later, he upgraded us to a suite.

I am very likely to return to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort Spa.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This was a wonderful resort. The food was expensive but there were less expensive alternatives available very close. The hotel was on the bus line and we took the public bus all over the island. The rooms had a small refrigerator which was very handy.

I am very likely to return to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort Spa.

The place was beautiful, but huge. We loved the location and the beds were very comfortable. The Hilton Hawaiian Village hotel had it all.

This hotel made me feel entertained: There were many places to shop and evening entertainment by the pool or in the lounge areas. The beach had a lot of rentals and the pools were very nice.

Too many services cost extra and were very expensive. The location was great. They had good service, but the check in staff was overwhelmed.

This hotel made me feel secure: The hotel property is mostly off the street. There are many employees walking around.

This is a great hotel, a problem with the safe was fixed quickly. It took a long time to check in but the staff was great.

This hotel made me feel important: The attentive front desk staff was apologetic about the delay. They offered complimentary lunch and drinks.

We just returned from a 6 night stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The Hilton needs to work on their Keiki (children's') Club marketing program. Our sole reason for picking this hotel, in Waikiki, was so that our 6 year old could have "kid" time at the Keiki Club and we could have "couples" time for ourselves. What Hilton doesn't tell you is that there is no guarantee your child will be included in the daily activities. We arrived at check-in time on Friday. We immediately went to sign our kid up for a few days during the week. Much to our dismay, the slots were full until our last day there, Wednesday. You can only sign up your kid once you check in. For a hotel that has, what, 2000 rooms, it is a total bait scheme. Get the tourists in, but don't provide them with what they thought they were paying for. Who would assume that you could not get your kid in to the advertised kid activities? A computer sign-up for the kids club as you book your hotel is in order. That way, Hilton could staff their Kid Club and all kids could participate. Having 15 or 20 slots open per day in a hotel this big, and one that markets to families, is ludicrous. Unfortunately, neither we nor our child had an optimum trip.

The service we received was less than average as well. We had valets who were too bothered to answer our questions, maids who made up our room in the most mediocre of ways, and information clerks who would barely speak, much less provide any information we couldn't figure out on our own.

We were prepared to book a trip to the Hilton at Squaw Pointe in Arizona, but will not do so now. That hotel markets to families as well, and we have no confidence that any Hilton program will be available to our child. When we return to Hawaii (for the 15th time), we will go back to Maui or Kauai and get a condo.

I am not likely to return to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort Spa.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Paradise Found. I am a former Airline employee and now a travel agent and have been to Hawaii literally hundreds of times. I had always wanted to stay at the HHV and finally did so this trip before a cruise. I was absolutely 100% satisfied. The people at the reception desk were friendly, pleasant and most of all competent. We were given an Oceanview room in the Ilia (sp) tower and were impressed. Each morning we had the breakfast buffet at the Lanai and it was a great way to start each morning in paradise. We ate at other restaurants in Honolulu for our other meals but now wished we would have stayed at the hotel. On this particular stay everything was excellent and we could not find one thing to complain about and that is really unusual for me. I highly recommend this hotel not only to my clients but to anyone else who would like a class place to stay in Honolulu.
