Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Hotel - Page 2

When I stayed in late July 2007, there was renovation work going on leaving some of the public areas of the hotel looking very shabby. My first problem with the room was that the shower did not work. This was fixed promptly. On my second day I woke up to find a big cockroach in the room - very unpleasant! I pulled out the bed to check for any more and found a mousetrap baited with cheese. By this time I really couldn't believe what I was seeing. The hotel manager refunded half the cost of my final night. I won't be going back.

As a first time visit to NYC, we were a bit apprehensive as to where to stay in the city. At a great internet rate, we got the perfect location, right in Times Square, which made for great sight-seeing and a wonderful room with a comfortable bed & comforter. Hotel staff was helpful and courteous.

The room was very quiet despite alleged renovations. We slept undisturbed. The hotel is a few blocks away from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Exciting shopping areas, including 5th avenue, are a short cab ride away. Lots of great, both exclusive and cheap, restaurants line the streets right outside the hotel. It’s a good choice for a hotel right in the city. Highly recommended!

I called to book a room. I was on hold for 12 minutes.

The woman said she couldn't book the room, at the rate I found on this website, because it was to close to the check in day. She said to book it online. I explained that I tried to, but every time I clicked on continue, the price went up.

After she "checked" with her supervisor, about booking the room, she gave me another number to call. I called the number-it was no longer in service. I call the hotel back, the guy pretending to be British informs me it is not his problem and has nothing to do with the actual hotel, which is where he is, and that the actual hotel does not have anything to do with booking the room. He then told me to hold and I just hung up.

Good luck trying to stay here.

It is a great hotel in a great location! I liked everything, I disliked nothing!

The location was great and the prices were reasonable for New York City. The deli across the street was wonderful, too.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The rooms were well maintained, properly decorated, with great beds and comfortable temperature controls.

When I booked, I was not given the correct fee.

The Days Inn was under renovation. However, I did expect the rooms to be nicer and did not expect to stand in ankle deep water while taking a shower. The front desk said they would take care of the problem, but they did not. Others in our group had similar problems and they were not resolved either.

The hotel was stifling. There was no ice, no sodas, and no service. My daughter and will not be staying in this place again.

It was a good experience and similar to other Days Inn experiences.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The employees at Days Inn were very friendly. They provided excellent services when requested.

Days Inn hotel in NYC is a bargain.

It was a great value, and location the location was excellent.

The location is wonderful and the price is excellent, but the bathroom could have been cleaner. There was mildew in the bathroom. But the room was clean and nicely decorated.

This hotel made me feel secure: The front desk was conveniently located and easily spotted by anyone walking in. Also, there was a bellman at the front door. There was a locking system in the room.
