I contacted the hotel several times stating I was looking for a king room with a separate bedroom that could be closed off. I was told they had it - a one bedroom king suite and I could make my reservations on-line. After making my reservations, I called the hotel and gave them my confirmation # and asked them to verify that I had reserved a room with a separate bedroom that could be closed off.
Upon arrival, we went to our room and it was all open so I went back down and told them I needed a room with a separate bedroom. All they had was a smoking room, but we agreed to take it.
The next day we were at Ft. Bragg visiting, and I get a call saying we have to come back and change rooms as our room had a full-price reservation for that night. We weren't happy and ultimately moved to another hotel for the other 3 nights of our stay.
Our room problems did not appear to be an isolated incidence. At check-in there were 4 people "discussing" their accommodations, and the people in the room beside ours did not get what they had requested.
The management (Matt) was very unprofessional in handling the situation. His attitude basically was that he had a full-price confirmation for the room that night and what was he supposed to do.
