I was not impressed for $139 a night. I moved next door to Hampton for $109 -- and it was much nicer.

The hotel is in a good location. I got a nice room for the money.

The check-in didn't go well. My reservation request of an upper floor room was ignored. The breakfast service was terrible. The employees ignored customers.

The fire alarm emptied the building just before 2 AM (New Year's day). When I returned to find folks standing outside, the front desk clerk/manager directed me to the stairs on the side of the building. They were locked, so we used the parking garage stairs to get to the fifth floor. The access door to the hotel was locked. When I returned to the lobby, we were again told it was okay to return to our rooms via the stairs. This time someone had propped open the door. We climbed ten flights of stairs littered with broken bottles and glass. Rumor was this happens every year - yet they didn't seem very adept at keeping order or providing actionable information.

I stayed at the downtown Garden Inn, and the staff was not friendly at all. The parking was a disaster, I walked down 4 flights of stairs with all of my luggage.
