The rooms were very clean but small. The beds were very comfortable. The children loved the big indoor pool. We had some problems in the bathroom but they were fixed immediately the next day. Great location beside a big mall. Good room for a great...
50 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business
For some reason I was given a handicapped guest room. The bathroom was smelly and there were a couple of insects and a spider in it. Not exactly good cleaning practices. The TV is ancient and the remote control barely works, you have to point it at just the right angle or it does nothing. The Internet is free but incredibly slow. The restaurant is OK but nothing fancy. The bartender was good but forgot to bring a bowl of nuts, had to be reminded. The pantry was half empty, the entire freezer had nothing in it, and in the fridge someone was storing personal items, something which in my opinion should NEVER be allowed in a hotel. I won't come here again if I can help it.
We were able to get a great internet price here for four nights at around $90 per night -- in the Boston area that is very good! The room was clean, the pool area was nice. Only downside was the wind noise during the day in the wind tunnel between...
29 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I was very disappointed with my stay. We wanted a romantic weekend, so I booked the "Romance Package". This package was more expensive than the regular rate, but it included early check-in, a late checkout, breakfast for two, and a bottle of sparkling wine.
When we arrived there was a tall, slender, man at the front desk. When I asked if many renovations had been done since the conversion of the hotel, he responded, "Not really. Not as much as they should have anyway". Then he asked me what kind of room I wanted. I had already requested a smoking king room on my on-line reservation, so why wouldn't he have that information? Nothing was mentioned about our free breakfast for two, so when I mentioned the "Romance Package" he laughed at us. He didn't seem to be familiar with the romance package. He reluctantly gave us breakfast vouchers, but clearly didn't know anything about it.
If I took the time to reserve this romance package online, shouldn't the front desk know something about it? Then when I mentioned the sparkling wine, he laughed at us again, saying that he didn't have any sparkling wine. Well, what was the point of me booking the romance package then? He reluctantly gave us a small bottle of white wine. We mentioned that we needed a late checkout and he said that would be no problem. Later that night, we realized that our wine had a cork and we had no corkscrew in the room. We called the front desk and asked to have a corkscrew sent up. The man who answered the phone said no, we would have to bring the bottle down the bar. Then, the next morning, the front desk called our room and woke us up. To ask us what time we would be leaving!
The whole purpose of booking this package was for the late checkout so that we could sleep in, and we were rudely awakened!
They should not offer this package if they don't plan on accommodating it. And they should inform the front desk of what the package entails. Also, the water in the pool was ice cold and when we called for room service we were told that there wasn't any. I will never return to this hotel.
After staying at the Travelodge on the Lake in Burlington and this hotel - I give the Hilton Garden Inn five stars. It was clean, quiet, the clerks were pleasant and informative. Our room was exactly what we needed. The bar and restaurant downstairs ...

It had a good location, close to a good restaurant that I liked a lot. The room service I ordered took a little longer than I expected, but it was a busy time at the hotel, so it was expected. For tourists, check in as early as possible, so you can
