A co-worker and I stayed at this facility from 04/27/08-05/02/08 for a conference. My co-worker contracted salmonella poisoning from eating at this hotel. I also became ill from eating at this hotel. Not only did we get sick but had to endure massive construction taking place, which we were not informed of until we arrived, but the water was turned off for one day. We were notified the night before.

You cannot turn the temp up in the rooms past 60 degrees or else the a/c will emit a horrible mold smell.

The Hilton's response to all of this (cost of stay, contracting illness, loss of pay from work due to illnesses) is a GENERIC FORM LETTER apologizing for the "inconvenience".

My fault was not paying attention to the unbiased reviews about the hotel that I read. If you stay here, beware!

I was pleased with the good location and the clean room.

It’s a great location, the beach was across the street. It had a nice little bar inside the hotel. It’s convenient for walking along the beach.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The employees were friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at this hotel previously. The location, comfort and service were as good as before.
