Hilltop, circa 1910, abounds with architectural details, charm and romance. Stained glass and craftsman-style casement windows make enchanting light in every room in the inn. Hilltop has nine fireplaces, all of which have been lovingly restored with classic arts and crafts ceramic tiles or slate. The elegance of the Inn's flow is genius: The first floor living, dining, library and foyer areas open freely to one another as discrete subdivisions of a continuous space, making guests intuitively and immediately comfortable. In contrast, the bedrooms (one on the first floor and four on the second) each feel private and tucked away from the others. From the foyer's coffered ceiling to the gentle arc of the elegant central stair to the oriental rugs and luxuriously appointed bathrooms, Hilltop is a house that brings quiet delight to those who inhabit both its common and its private spaces.
