Has it all! First visit to Lake Placid and wasn't sure of where to stay. A friend recommended High Peaks and we (including our 8 year old) could not have done better. Most rooms seem to have a view of the lake and hotel restaurants have great atm

The king size beds are soft with underlying support. The decor is that of an executives cabin with large sofa and a well fitted desk and dresser. The bath is relaxing with a walk-in shower that washes away you stress with a ceiling mounted shower

It is a beautiful location and we had a room with a view of the lake. The rooms had been refurbished since our last stay and the improvements were great. The room was quite comfortable with a patio and chairs onto the lawn. The beds were quite comfortable and the pillows were plenty and new. We were closed to the business section although the restaurant at the hotel needed much improvement.
They are striving to make the stay worth what they charge and more.
I am very likely
to return to the High Peaks Resort.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Holiday Inn with access to the resort. the pictures on this site are nice and so are the amenities. However, when you get to the hotel you will be directed to the hotel across the highway. It look like a 70's holiday inn that has been painted. Do not book this hotel unless you like traveling acrosss a busy high to utilize the amenities of the actual resort.
I am not likely
to return to the High Peaks Resort.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The room failed to be on the main site. It was on the lower level with a refrigerator as reserved and confirmed. We were moved to a different room across the road. The staff brought in a refrigerator for us.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the High Peaks Resort.
I might recommend it to friends.
