Yes, it's a great location on Collins across from beach, and that is it. Filthy dirty. No a/c. No furniture save a sagging bed. They had just painted so room was full of fumes, smelled awful. No pillows, no towels, no toilet paper. I would not let my dog stay here, and the staff could not care less about any of it. All this for $177 a night during Art Basel Miami Beach. This hotel should not be allowed to be in business.

I am not likely to return to the Henrosa Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

45 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I have traveled all over the globe and this by far was the worst experience I have ever had with respect to the accommodations. It was bad from the start. First the information from Hotels.com and the Henrosa stated that check-in time was 3:00 PM. We called the hotel about an hour before the 3:00 PM check in time to inform them we would be there shortly, the girl that answered the phone was both curt and rude and said that check in was at 4:00 PM. When I stated that I have a print out of my reservation and it says 3:00 PM check in, she said So what, I am telling you it is 4:00 PM. That should have been our first clue. We ate and shopped and checked in at about 6:00 PM figuring that was plenty of time for them to be ready. Wrong!. The room we were offered was number 210, it was filthy from to top to bottom. The floors were sandy and dirty and the lamp was broken, there were holes in the wall, the shower curtain was hanging by three hoops and moldy and dirty. The beds had no blankets, the phone did not work and the A/C was not working properly. So I went down stairs and asked for a better room, the girl on staff was different than who I spoke to on the phone and seemed to want to help. She offered us room 211. The first thing I noticed when I opened 211 was that the window was pulled from the frame and was wide open and the rain(it was raining) was pouring in and soaking the bed, so I went back down stairs. The girl again offered me a better room than my booking class and I was much more pleased when I opened the door to room 212, but that feeling soon vanished. The A/C did noting but blow hot air, the sink kept backing up, there was about three sheets of toilet paper and two ratty towels. No hand towels, no bath mat and the same moldy shower curtain, but the room was somewhat cleaner than 210 or 211 which wasn't saying much. The hotel phone also did not work and the window would not close and it was raining. I made 4 complaints about lack of service to the room, which they never cleaned, or changed towels or linens during our two day stay. They admitted that they had been having problems with both staff and A/C before renting to us and yet they rented the room anyway. The owner himself promised to fix problems in our room and never acted on that promise. I can almost forgive the A/C not working if they would have provided us with a fan. And there is no excuse for not going to the dollar store and providing a clean and usable shower curtain. And with the exception of one very nice blonde desk clerk, the staff was rude and uninterested in the problems we experienced and made no effort to correct and never offered any reduction in our bill. If you stay here after reading this you get what you deserve. Bring a fan, a sleeping bag, bleach and your own towels. If they gave the room for free your still going to loose. I do not get how they are in business. Hotels.com and any other respectable booking site should remove them from their offerings list. Good luck.

One of the few if perhaps the only hotel in South Beach that accepts pets. Overlooking one or two annoying employees, lack of towels and toilet paper, a claustrophobic elevator, a semi-working air conditioner, and a bathroom door that never closed, The Henrosa is a quaint place to stay! LOL! The only plus: it's right in the heart of South Beach. Seconds from the beach, clubs & shops.

Rundown dump, uncovered electric sockets, musty, smelly, and dirty, and the staff is just as good! Place should be bulldozed down. Don’t stay there.

Do not stay at this place! Seriously, spare yourself. The rooms are horrible: the walls are falling apart; the carpet is old, dirty and smelly; the furniture is all broken; and the AC does not work. The staff is extremely rude and they don't care about the guests, they only care about drinking and partying in the lobby. If you stay there several days, they don't clean the rooms or change the linens until you leave. I asked to see an inspection certificate and they told me that they had no idea what I was talking about. Parking is also extremely expensive so it doesn't make the daily rate that cheap anyways.
