Good things: 1. We had a suite room 614 and the room was very spacious. The Bed was very comfortable, the room was clean. Bathroom was larger than I expected for a smaller hotel, and we had a decent view. 2. The hotel was very close to most of the museums and sights-easy walking distance. The metro was only a block away so this hotel is convenient if you plan on getting places fast and exploring the area.

Bad things: 1. The person at the front desk (there were a total of two the whole time we stayed tehre, one for days and the other for nights) they were not very helpful in giving directions, had no idea of festivities going on down the block, not very polite, and one of them thought Richmond Virginia was 3 hours north (????). The doormen however were great. 2. The hotel is VERY small. DOnt let the pictures fool you. There are mirrors everywhere to make it look bigger. The service at the bar and restaurant was horrible. We (myself mother and aunt) were the only people seated at the restaurant and it took them an hour to bring out the meal and appetizer. The appetizer although was asked to be brought out first came after the meal and it was only cheese and meat.

Altogether I would go back for the convenience of location and the clean confortable rooms. I would not reccommend this hotel for kids or if you want great service.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. A great location for business or pleasure travel. A nice older building, of a size which lends to personalized service. I had a problem with an apparent mistaken ad's on some online booking sites; regarding the limited availabilities of rooms with more than one bed at this hotel. Once I had had the opportunity to bring this to the attention of the hotel's Reservation Manager, he resolved it for us. Yet there is an apparent disconnect between hotel's and some online booking sites. So call ahead to ensure the room booked online is what is available.

This is a beautiful hotel, with a different kind of feel since it is older. The rooms were pleasantly updated as was the bathroom (very hot water in the shower) and clean (I'm very picky). I didn't eat in the restaurants, so I have no opinion except that they are elegant looking. Close to the convention center and the walk to the nearest metro station is a few blocks. A CVS store is within one block. Staff is attentive and courteous. The bellhops did an outstanding job. My husband and I left all of our possessions (including 2 laptops) in their care while we went sightseeing for the day. Everything was just fine on our return. The only negative of my trip was the construction taking place next door to the hotel, which will continue throughout 2008 according to the signs at the project site. They provide ear plugs (in the refrigerator) and the noise from the construction was honestly less than the bus that beeped the horn outside my window at 6:30 am. I was told by a local that the construction project is quieter now than when the building was being demolished Fall, 2007. I didn't hear my neighbors much, so either I was the loud one or the walls are thicker than those found in newer hotels. The bed is comfortable but the pillows were a bit more firm than I like. I still slept well and did not have issues with maintaining the heat in our room. The windows open which is a rarity in a finer hotel such as this and they could use a washing but with the construction it is probably useless at this point. This was primarily a business trip so I didn't search for the best priced hotel near the convention center. From the looks of it though they run some pretty good deals which make it a very competitive challenger in the choices of higher end hotels in the Washington DC area. All in all, a pleasant place to stay, and we were lucky to be in DC for a week. One last thing, if you want an on site fitness center, this isn't the place for you. You have access to one, but you'll have to walk to get there.

It was a very nice hotel, with excellent rooms for the price.

This hotel made me feel entertained: They had a very friendly desk staff.

I am very likely to return to the Henley Park Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I had a very comfortable bed. The hotel was not close enough to the metro station.

This hotel made me feel important: The front desk person was extraordinarily polite.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Henley Park Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.
