The main reason we picked this hotel, was because of our wonderful experience with a Hawthorne hotel, at a different location in Dallas. This one was closer to our dr. appt - so we booked here. We knew part of the cost of the room included a two" full buffet meals - dinner and breakfast", M - Th, and complementary appetizers and Happy Hour each night.
Their website at this location states those very words. So as we are checking in we hear another guest ask about the dinner menu and she was told that they only had soup (out of a can, no less) and salad (they openly admitted it was leftover from the previous night). When we asked the clerk about this, he said the cook "forgot to go grocery shopping today", so that's all they had to serve. When we asked for a discount because a meal was not provided, that's when everything turned in a battle with them. The Mgr came out of her ofc to tell us that they couldn't give us any discount for anything, and besides, we should only expect a "light snack" and that they need to update their website to reflect that; but did finally admit, in front of her supervisor that it did say a full evening meal was provided.
The worst part truly was how it was handled. We were very surprised at the rudeness and argumentative nature these staff members were showing us. Not just over "dinner" - but over all the problems we encountered while we stayed there. We finally (thru the help of a Hotels.com clerk) were promised a 20% refund = $18.11 that should be seen on my credit card within 45 days -hope that really happens. But it did not end there. We had to call four times,(called 2 X before we left to go find a place to eat, and called two more times when we returned and realized it was still unrepaired) in a two hour time period to get someone to respond to our request to repair our non-working toilet. Once convinced it really was not working they had us move to another room, at 9:20 that evening. It was a nicer room, but we were greeted by construction supplies/rugs/discarded furniture (I guess we were sent to one of the rooms that had just been re-done and they had all the stuff there to work on the surrounding rooms) and inside were dead bugs and a big live roach that we had to dispose of. The one good thing - breakfast was very good. I wish it was enough to overshadow all the bad...don't stay here!
Sadly, this hotel site was the worst experience we have ever had in our travels - especially with the staff. We spoke with a total of three clerks, a Manager, and an Area Supervisor - but not one seemed willing to share an ounce of Customer Service. I think even one "I'm sorry" would have gone a very long way in helping us get over the inconveniences; but when the staff acts like they could care less, it makes the guests want to demanding discounts and refunds.

They have good clerks. They have good hot food for the breakfast buffet and separate rooms in the suite. They have good prices for weekend stays, using the travel guide coupons.
We go there every few months. It is great when the same clerk answers, and upon hearing the name remembers you, and knows you want a downstairs room.
I am very likely
to return to the Hawthorn Suites Dallas/Love Field Airport.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The location of this hotel was perfect for anyone having medical treatments at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and the staff was very considerate about my needs. This facility made things much easier for my family to be near me when I had surgery and they gave them an area to retreat from the pressures of the hospital and the rest. We stayed there two extra nights after my discharge so that I could recuperate in a nice place where I could rest comfortably without any pressure or responsibility. The Hawthorne Suites hotel took care of everything. The breakfast buffet meant that we did not have to prepare meals, and the Happy Hour even provided us with enough snacks to make a light evening meal. I highly recommend this hotel.
We were put in a room that was very near the breakfast room, but in a quiet area. The housekeeping staff was especially nice to me when cleaned our room while I was still resting there and even asked if she could do anything else for me. The front desk staff answered several questions and gave recommendations for restaurants, drug stores. I felt that these people cared for me as a person, not just a customer.
