This property was poorly managed, the front desk and kitchen were understaffed, and there was no weekend manager on duty.
The property was poorly maintained. The bathroom mirror was missing from the wall, the bathroom light didn't work properly, there were no pillows for pull-out sofas, no ashtrays in smoking rooms; no extra pillows or blankets in the closets, not enough extra towels, an unbearably hot dining room, it was over 85 degrees at breakfast in November. The rooms had thin walls, it was close to the airport, you could hear airplanes all night. And, if that wasn't bad enough, my credit was charged twice for the room.
It was so disappointing, I've stayed at some really nice Hawthorn properties, but this DFW Airport location just didn't measure up.
My advice, don't repeat my mistake, move on to the next hotel on the list. This one was a dud, a 1-star hotel at a 3-star price.
