Hawthorn Inn and Suites Oshkosh Hotel - Page 1

I travel for business - but mostly leisure - this hotel is good for both. Nice pool for small children and a great place to eat in the evenings "the Vintage"

Great free breakfast in the morning and it is HOT! Staff is very friendly, not many like this hotel. Oshkosh is a friendly city.

My only complaint would be I had to leave and go back home. I loved the free breakfast buffet and the atmosphere. The staff was also excellent.

The customer service was extremely friendly; however, when we tried to rent a movie, the equipment in the room didn't work.

Fortunately there was an empty room from which we could transfer the equipment. We finally got to order a movie, and when it came on, it was the wrong movie. We waited on hold with the customer service people for 25 minutes before they re-set the movie. All's good then, right? Nope. With about 15 minutes left in the movie, it goes on the blink. So we sat on hold with customer service again forever, and they had us physically adjust the equipment (which involved pulling the armoire away from the wall and un-screwing cords, etc.)

We finally got it working and asked them to re-wind it to where we left off. Unfortunately they could only re-wind it to a certain point, which was way ahead of where we were in the movie, so we missed a good (and crucial) chunk of the movie.

Wouldn't you know it, this movie won an Academy Award last night. I wish we could've been able to nod our heads and say, "Yeah, yeah, that was a great movie," but we don't know.

It’s an O.K. hotel, just don't try to rent any movies in the room!

This hotel had a very comfortable atmosphere and large rooms. It also had a very nice breakfast buffet with a TV in a relaxing environment. The only thing I found wrong was that there was no icemaker on the second floor.

This hotel made me feel pampered: The room was nicely cleaned and everybody that worked there was so nice and it had a great little place to eat and relax.

My trip was in mid-March, and I was looking forward to using the gym, but alas! There was no gym, just two treadmills, an elliptical, and an exercise bike.
