Party was great, room not #1 – Posted Mar 07, 2008

Good
26 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

I loved the party, the dinner show, the diverse culture, the fun, and the people.

The room, it was clean, maybe not first class, but the atmosphere made up for all of that. I would definitely go again!

Okay
70 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

The hotel was clean and comfortable but, as with other hotels, overpriced for the bike week event in March.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hawaiian Inn Beach Resort.
I might recommend it to friends.

Don't waste your time and money – Posted Jul 08, 2007

We were satisfied with nothing but the pool and laui. The air conditioning in the living room didn't work for 2 days, finally got someone to work on it, made it a little cooler. Not great but cool. For every inch of rain that fell outside an inch was blowing in around the sliding doors. Soaked up water the whole time, still wet when checked out. We ask that housekeeping only leave clean towels and take trash. They did the total opposite. Even went as far as to fold our undergarments and put them in the suitcase. We left a not for them, they laid the note in the suitcase on top of the folded underwear. They ate food that was in the kitchen. Each day food would come up missing. The ice machine worked one day, elevator was stinky and slow, restaurant never opened on time and no one knew what time it would open, staff would pass the buck each time you went to them with problems, when we confronted them about housekeeping and the note they told us it was probably staff that could read or speak English well. Finally at checkout when telling them about the problems again she told me the manager was conveniently in a meeting until 12, checkout was 11, but to write down our problems and he would call us. Waited 3 hours, finally called him, waited another hour or two for him to call back, he said he would refund 59.25 by check, didn't seem like compensation to me for a weeks worth of crap. He seem to think it was plenty, haven't received it and doubt if I do.

Absolutely disgusting! – Posted Jul 04, 2007

Bugs everywhere, in the kitchen, in my bed, on my pillow. The sliding doors were broken...would not open (even the closet door!).

The walls were rotting in the bathroom and the bedroom. Chipping paint everywhere. Mold and filth in the bathroom.

When I contacted the rental agent she told me I was crazy. I asked for a two day refund because I had to leave it was so bad. She called me bad names and a liar who was just trying to get a free vacation from a condo owner! I vacation two times a year in Florida and will be moving there soon. I have never in my life stayed in such a horrid facility! Also, see photos of the room attached!

Well, we expected a little bit more, the hotel is really old, all the pool, the front, the parking, and the charm, the elevator, the color of the paint, all very, very old, but the room was very nice and the beach (all Daytona Beach) it's really good. Will I back? I really need think about it. For the same price I think we have other better options.

It was very dirty – Posted Apr 21, 2007

This was the worst place ever! It was never cleaned, I had dirty floors and carpet.

There was patched up painting on the wall, it was a mess. It was noisy and smelly and dirty and just disgusting. What a waste of my money. It’s so hard trying to evaluate a place from online. I usually do pretty good but this was just awful. Thank goodness I was there to only sleep, otherwise I would have left, I stayed away from the place as long as I could, it was depressing to be in the room.

They had bad service all around, or should I say, no service. There was rubbish, garbage, and cigarette butts everywhere. When you’re paying good money for a place, it should never be like this, and whoever owns this place should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this place to be operated like it is.
