Sure, the hotel is old and the carpets and furniture show it, but the price is great, the rooms are clean, the location cannot be beat and the price is right on target. I go to Washington frequently and The Harrington is my home away from home.
I'd be highly disappointed if I expected some nice hotel. It is kind of old and run down feeling. But I go to D.C. for the CITY, not the hotel room. And it's right around EVERYTHING I want to be near. I can wear my jeans and not feel embarrassed

Although the location is not so bad, the hotel is probably one of the worst I have been to. Dusty carpets, artificial flowers and smell of cooked food is what I was up against in every time I went to the lobby. I had a relatively nice time in DC and if I was staying in a different hotel, it would have been a lot better.
