I stayed at Harrah's Laughlin last week for the River Run, and was forced to wear a hospital-style plastic wristband. When the band was fastened around my wrist, I begged first the clerk and then the manager for another method of identification, explaining that the band made me feel claustrophobic and that I can't wear bracelets or watches. I was informed that it is Harrah's policy to require wristbands for all guests, and that if I didn't wear the band at all times I would not be allowed to stay in the hotel. I had traveled 600 miles to attend the River Run and no alternative lodging was available, so I had no choice but to comply. The wristband was especially uncomfortable while riding a motorcycle in 100-degree heat and while trying to sleep, and provided a constant reminder of why I'll never stay at another Harrah's.
