Excellent
I had a flight arriving at JFK about midnight and was flying out the next morning around 9am. The Fairfield Inn in Jamaica turned out to be the perfect hotel for an overnight stay.
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't recommend it for a family vacation...

Excellent
Very clean room; courteous, helpful staff, prompt shuttle service and excellent continental breakfast. Dinner menu was not extensive, but excellent food none-the-less.

I always stay at Harrah's, they are the best hotel to stay at. I have been there 3 times this year & the room is always immaculate, the bed very comfy, in fact I would like to take it home with me. I always stay in the adult tower, most of the rooms are re-modeled & very nice. The family tower has new deluxe re-modeled rooms, That look even nicer than our usual room, but I didn't want to hear screaming children on my get away, can always hear that at home.
I am entitled to request a suite because of my players card status, but have never gotten one, the highest roller requesting always get the suites, but it's free & the rooms are nice, so I try every time for the suite, if I don't get it, no big deal. The hotel maids are very friendly and always have a smile, every Harrah's staff member I have ever had contact with was friendly or at least pleasant. I have never been treated badly at any Harrah's facility. My one & only complaint about Harrah's Laughlin is that their casino is so tight. It is the tightest casino I have ever played in. I play at several casinos in S. California where I live & Harrah's there is even better, & the machines are considered tight, but Laughlin Harrah's extremely tight.I lost all of my money this trip the first night. Not one machine gave me any kind of a hit and the bonuses were very very few. I was really upset because I still had 3 more days in Laughlin & no more money. I didn't see any one winning at all. Other gamblers were voicing their complaints my entire stay there.I spent a lot of time in my room. Next time I will play elsewhere, but sleep at Harrah's. The food at Beach Cafe is very good and moderately priced. They need to know that people are staying in their hotel for free, but play elsewhere. harrah's needs to loosen the slots & get some new games.

Booked through their own website. Requested king size bed in the adult tower as we were on our first weekend trip without our children.Arrived and was told we could request a king on-line but that didn't mean we would get it. Ended up with a king size bed in the family tower. Slow elevators packed with a million kids running around with little supervision. Room was filthy..peeling wallpaper..no water pressure and the TV did not work..had paid for a river-view room..ended up overlooking a parking lot. Everyone in line had a problem with their room at check in. On-line guests are not treated well at all. Our room was the worst room we have ever stayed in. I cried..our first get away trip in 14 years and I ended up in a box of a room with food smeared into the chairs...we checked out first thing in the morning despite our 2 day reservation and went and stayed at the Pioneer...a fabulous choice!! Sad how badly they treat their guests..we never dropped a dime into any machine. We refused to give Harrah's any of our gambling money. And the fact is when we gamble, we gamble heavy. Please do not stay at Harrrah's...you will be disappointed.

When my mother called to book rooms at this hotel, she was told that she was entitled to a free hotel room for being a "VIP". She proceeded to tell Dan, the reservation agent, that she needs 2 rooms for 2 nights. The agent said that she can get it all for FREE. She repeated "2 rooms for 2 nights, right?" at least 4 times as she couldn't believe what she was hearing. Well, she was right, it was too good to be true!!! Being that this was my father's birthday weekend, she invited other people to join us because she has 2 rooms that weekend. Sure enough, when it was time to check-in, she was told that she only had 1 room for 2 nights!!!!!! This was then a start to a very very rude treatment by the front desk staff. Worse yet, we were told that are only going to get 1 bed even though we requested for 2 beds as "they are not always guaranteed" as what Chris, the RUDE front desk clerk said to me, with rolling eyes!!! When I requested for a rolling bed, I was told that "we don't have those!". We were also told that if we wanted to transfer to a room with 2 beds, we need to call back between 1-3pm the next day. Why give us 1 bed when he very well knows that we needed 2 hotel rooms that night??? Why do we have to call the next day when he knows we need 2 beds? Why can't he just make the arrangement then? Such lousy customer service, in my opinion!!!
When my mother finally approached the front dest, she asked for the manager. This was when she was given the roll-a-way bed. So much for not having it, huh?
Harrah's is such a disappointment as they lure people to drive down to Laughlin only to be treated the way we were treated. Is it because we are given the room for free? First of all, my mother called to book a room that she was willing to pay for. She did not ask to get a complimentary room!!! Secondly, if Harrah's is offering to give a free room but will only treat their guests rudely, they might as well not!! Thirdly, they need to hire new front desk staff as the 2 front desk clerks I encountered (1 to get the room the first day--named CHRIS, 2 to switch rooms the next day--named CYRIL) were very unfriendly!!!
We go there often. The Range Steakhouse is excellent both in the food and its presentation, and the view is wonderful as well! The suites are terrific and roomy.

Good
The purpose of our stay was a break in plane travel during an international trip before continuing home -- we wanted some sleep in a hotel near the airport where we could also do a morning trip into Manhattan. The hotel provides free shuttle service ...

I have been going to Harrah's in Laughlin as part of a large group every June for more years than I really can recall. The hotel staff are great (especially the pool side bar staff who work in the heat while you swim), the tables are good, machines are never loose anywhere, why would they be there? The 18 and over pool is a huge plus. I have seen the security staff boot more than a few under age girls and boys from the adult pool (they have a kid pool too). The beach is great, considering most Laughlin locations don't have one. The water taxi is easy to use and taxi service to the other locations in town are plentiful. My room is always clean and I tip the housekeepers accordingly. Summer weekends are full of talent.
