The Hard Rock Hotel Chicago was carved out of the landmark Carbide and Carbon building in the heart of the Windy City. The historic art deco building, which was erected in 1929 in the image of a Champagne bottle, dances 40 stories into the sky. Just steps away from renowned Magnificent Mile Shopping, artistic Theatre District, pulsing new Millennium Park, historic landmarks, as well as architecturally stunning business towers and offices.

Close to many of Chicago's attractions, including the Magnificent Mile, the Loop, the Chicago Art Institute and Millennium Park, the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago is located in the historic Carbide and Carbon Building, one of Chicago's many architectural landmarks, on North Michigan Avenue. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the hotel decor can be quite dark and minimalist, so is not for everyone. There's a good health club and spa for guests to relax in and a business center. The hotel's 'Base Bar' serves a wide variety of drinks and plays good music - so the hotel is well equipped for all types of travellers. They do serve breakfast in the hotel, although it is a little pricey. The staff are helpful and friendly and have a good knowledge of the area.
