Oh. So. Over! Whenever you see photos of celebrities at The Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas, remember that they are being paid to be there. Actually, the Hard Rock might want to consider offering that option to all guests because it has become a very bad hotel. Sloppy housekeeping, broken lamp shades with fluorescent bulbs, non-working internet connections that are a rip-off, missing tv remotes, spots all over the carpet and an everpresent nicotine reek, even in the non-smoking rooms.
I used to love the hotel, but they expanded, got bigger, but not better. All the reasons for choosing them are gone. Las Vegas has grown up around the hotel so it is not out of the way now, just inconvenient to everything else on the strip. You have to choose between traffic noise on one side of the building or non-stop loud music on the pool side. Need a nap to sleep off that Vegas hangover? Forget it! And yes, they have now been invaded by the families with screaming kids. After four days I was completely sleep dprived! Wait, isn’t a nights sleep what a hotel is all about?
