Located at the entrance to state street. The historical gateway to the city of Boston which starts at Boston Harbor then runs past the landmark Customs House and leads to the Old State House. The Harborside Inn offers a unique lodging experience. Located in the heart of the city's waterfront and financial district and just steps from historic Faneuil Hall the shopping restaurants and pubs of Quincy Market and the view, salty air and sailing ships of Boston Harbor. For business or pleasure there is no better location. The building housing Harborside Inn was designed as a mercantile structure by Gridley James Fox Bryant - a famous 19th century architect and builder whose projects included Boston's old City Hall. Renovated as a hotel in 1997, features of the original construction were preserved and highlighted as a reminder of its historic past. These historic details are combined with comfortable furnishings such as authentic oriental rugs and sleigh beds in every room. Hardwood floors and exposed brick walls enhance authenticity and reproductions of historic maps and prints and adorn the halls.

Okay
If you want to be near Fanueil Hall, this would be a good choice. They recently renovated all the rooms, and they did a nice job. But they're certainly not big. We had a cityview room, and it was freezing. So they moved us to an interior room,...

Good
The Harborside Inn is a nice hotel, esp. for the money. However, if you're renting a car at Logan (or traveling to Boston by car), you'll have to park a few blocks away at 75 State Street parking garage -- $33 for 2-24 hours with 20% discount with...
This charmer of a hotel, which used to be a dye and textile warehouse, features comfortable accommodations and less flash, but consequently more value, than many of the surrounding hotels. Many of the guestrooms have exposed brick and all of them are furnished in the period of the building's origin with a king or queen bed. Complimentary wireless access is available throughout. There is a restaurant but no fitness center; guests can get a discount at a nearby hotel's gym. The location is perfect for exploring Boston's architecture and history, museums, the Aquarium (the T stop is just outside the hotel's door) and great shopping and dining.
45 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
Dirt & debris at front door. Rude front desk staff. Manager would not change room that was not cleaned up after previous guests. We left & are still fighting to get our money back. Surprised to see this hotel at the top of any list. Guests BEWARE!!! Owner is unresponsive. They just take your money & say "sorry there's nothing we can do". False advertising

The hotel was under construction which we were not told about. When we first went to our room 5 construction workers rode the elevator with us. It was a very tight fit with them and the luggage cart. When we got to our room i had grease on my hands...
