26 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
My girlfriend and I went on a spontaneous drive for the weekend to Port Townsend last week. It was getting a bit late and we thought that maybe we should start looking for a room (should've done that first). We drove around just outside the downtown area and saw some motels right on the water and by the harbor, and thought that it would be nice to have a view. First we stopped by the Aladdin - which looked "OK" but although it was only about 10:30pm the parking lot was near empty the sign said "NO Vacancy" and no one was in the office. We saw a much more attractive larger facility just down the street. We walked into the office, and were greeted by the desk worker. Everything went as it should have - and I was very surprised to hear from her that the front desk is open until 2am on the weekends, and that there is a night bell for afterwards. We were very pleased with our room. The next day we were out and about and came back to the motel to ask for some advice on where to go for dinner and I am glad that we asked because dinner was fantastic. After dinner we went up to our room and saw the sun setting just looking out from the sliding doors which lead out to the balcony. I have no complaints, great service, clean, and very quiet. My spontaneous weekend trip turned out to be something great. I will come back to this motel again.
