The rooms are small, but are cozy, comfortable, well equipped with WiFi and the bathroom has some nice amenities too. It's worth upgrading to an upper room, where the views are fantastic - straight over the water. The hotel is next to the YMCA, where you have access to the fitness facilities and indoor swimming pool. The hotel is just steps from the Embarcadero and Ferry Building Marketplace, six blocks to SBC Park or Moscone Convention Center, and easy access to Union Square or North Beach. There are good public transport links nearby too. The hotel offer complimentary wine and beer at 5pm every day and there are also cookies and milk served in the lobby at 9pm. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly! Yes, the room was small and cramped. It reminded my husband and I of our stay at the Carlton Hotel in New York. However, it was a great location and we could walk to Epic Steakhouse for dinner and walked to the great Farmer's Market in the morning! It was great! All in all, a pleasant little weekend get away!
