Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel at Mauna Kea

Beautiful area, but definitely on the expensive side. You pay a bit more than for what you get. Overall an Ok stay, but I'll be willing to shop around before I book there again.

It has a great location, a great pool, and is comfortable. It was a little expensive, however, and a little sterile. It also had some noise issues as there was construction near our room for a couple of days.

We stayed here in October 2005 and found this to be perfect, despite some reviews we read elsewhere. The entire resort was perfect, luxuriously quiet. The ample rooms, giant bathrooms, views, the gorgeous infinity pool, the best beach on Hawaii and the nicest staff I've ever met made the Hapuna Prince a wonderful experience. The place did seem to attract the middle-age to older crowd (as well as Japanese tourists, which meant almost no children.)

It's in an excellent location. They have wonderful service as expected, we have been here many times. They have a great staff, tasty restaurants, and ideal weather.
