Hilton
male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I took my family on a East Texas week end to celebrate by grandson's 5th birthday. I used Hilton Honors points for the stay and presented a certificate when I checked in. The second night we were awakened around midnight, my grandson had gotten sick and thrown up on the bed linens. I went to the office and checked out with the night manager at 1:00AM. I explained what happened and he told me "those things happen". Thirty days latter I recieved my credit card statement with a charge of $200. I contacted the general manager who told me I was charged for damages to the room. I contested the charges with the credit card company and Hilton Honors but to no avail. I requested an itemized statement of damages, but never received one. I will never stay at this hotel again and cannot recommend it to anyone, especially if you have small children.

50 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
This hotel has the wonderful Hampton Inn beds, etc and the breakfast standard as well. However, the rooms open to the outside. It's also a bit older. As female traveling alone, this scared me. It is on a main road, so that helps. The evening staff wasn't friendly, but the daytime people were great. Stay here if safety isn't a concern.
