It is the only Hilton property near Lake Charles and I prefer Hilton properties. It is for business travelers, not for tourists. I would prefer a full service Hilton hotel, but it does not exist in the area. I would not recommend it except for a budget minded traveler. The staff is friendly, but there is no restaurant or a bar and it is in a very ugly location.

I love staying at the Hampton Inns. The one in Clearwater is my favorite, but this one is a little different in that it is smaller and has a hometown feeling to it. The beds are wonderful and the employees are personable. It is between two stops that I make so the convenience is another consideration. There are other hotels in the area, but I like this one best.
This hotel made me feel pampered: Whatever you need they can get it for you with no excuses. There were extra towels, toothpaste, toothbrush, whatever you needed. This is also the way at their continental breakfast.

It was very nice, as expected. There is no bar or restaurant though.
This hotel made me feel important: They were very prompt in supplying messages from other guests.
