Hampton Inn and Suites Vestal Hotel - Page 1

When I initially booked the room, I was told they gave a military discount. Upon arrival, I was informed by the manager that there was no military discount available. It made me feel kind of cheated, but I stayed anyway.

There aren't enough seats to accomodate the number of people having breakfast and the staff are slow to refill the trays. Your options are to eat standing up, come early (very early!) or eat somewhere else. I saw people eating all over the first floor, garbage everywhere. A lady from a tour group complained to the front desk when she sat on some jelly that had been left on the couch. The staff listened to her, but it didn't go any further than that.

My overall impression of the hotel is that it's okay for an overnight stay, but I'll probably go somewhere else. There are plenty of hotels in the area and for the same price you can do better.

Hotel was newly decorated, very clean and comfortable. We had a double room with nice bath. (towels really are fluffy) Pool was very nice with long hours. open until 11 pm.

Only tiny SNAFU was we had two rooms. One room no problem with entry. The other room already had a guest in it when we tried the key. (oops!!) Door wouldn't open. After about ten minutes, they gave us an upgraded room at no charge. The breakfast was nice and they have free tea and coffee all day. It was well stocked and hot with many choices. I recommend if you're in the Binghamton area. We were there to take my daughter to Ithaca college.

It was nice. The room was tiny for three people.

This Hampton Inn stayed consistent with what I expect from Hampton Inn, with a clean, comfortable room, and a high-speed internet connection.

We are diamond members so we like to be upgraded to a suite.
