38 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I was born in Ogden and returned for a visit. We stayed in town for 2 days at this hotel (Apr 08) and I can't say enough on how impressed I was by our whole experience there. You'd have to know Ogden to know that this hotel, for the area, could rate as a high star hotel - the city is old and quaint and it appears they are doing lots to revitalize. The hotel is right in the middle of town on the main street. This hotel is connected to a convention type building and both are decorated beautifully - art deco type. The rooms (we had a 2 bed) were very beautiful & comfortable - lots of pillows, beautiful coverlets -the staff excellent & helpful. The breakfast outstanding - lots of food & fresh - the usual but with one hot plate that had eggs and a meat - complimntry "breakfast on the run" bag if you want, cookies in the evening. The web site for this hotel & its pictures are accurate and to date as of this review for the rooms - we got what we saw more!
The only reason I gave it a 9 rating vs a perfect 10 was the parking - which still wasn't bad. Because the hotel is on the main street, street prking is limited & restricted; the parking garage is free to guests, but it is a small walk down to the main street and over to the hotel lobby. During the day the convention center garage access door is open and you can park closer to main building, but at night doors are locked and you have to walk out to main street to get to hotel lobby or park on street but be moved by 9 am!
Again, I can't say enough good things about this hotel and we would/will stay there again - clean, beautiful, comfortable & elegant.

It had a wonderful view of the mountains. The parking garage is a short walk from the hotel. There is valet parking available for five dollars per day.
I am very likely
to return to the Hampton Inn and Suites Ogden.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
