This was my first time staying at a Hampton Inn. Based on my experience here, it will not be my last.The hotel, a non-descript building set next to a parking lot, is only about a five-minute walk from the 16th Street Mall. My room was large and...

I stayed at this hotel in February of 2007 - you have to valet park because there is no public parking garage or lot.
When I got my car back - there was a new dent that I immediately reported to management. They took a report and photo - and advised that Risk Management would handle this directly with the rental car company. They did not.
They now refuse to cover the meager $150 for the dent in the car. The will not take my calls and refuse to do the right thing.
I would avoid this hotel unless you are on foot - if anything happens to your car - they will not do the right thing.

It’s an outstanding hotel in an excellent location. It is near everything! The staff was excellent! Parking is a problem, only valet parking is available at a shocking cost! But I would have no hesitation staying there again.
Our every need was anticipated. We were always greeted by name. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly in a professional manner at all times.
