Stayed here overnight on a weekend in September, and found it more than suitable for my needs. Best plus to me was the location, just a little over a block from the Amtrak Station, and smack dab between the University District and Downtown Charlottesville. Both were a reasonable walk from the hotel.
Morning breakfast was okay. The grapefruit salad was a good start, but the eggs left a bit to be desired. Coffee was not to my taste though.
The room was adequate and clean, and gave me a good night's sleep. TV had enough channels to be enteratining.
The room cost a bit more than I was used to paying, but I did book on short notice in the midst of College Football season, so I was glad it was available. I'd have no problems returning to this hotel.

This is a 3-star hotel with a 4-star feeling. From check-in onward, I encountered effective, friendly service and a clean new room with great beds, lighting, and work space. Parking's free. Although the breakfast area and lobby were very inviting, I wanted to go out for Sunday brunch. The staff recommendation of the Blue Moon down the street was absolutely spot on. I'm thrilled at the discovery of this hidden gem, and it is where I'll stay whenever I'm in town.

Hampton Inn is my favorite hotel. It provides a very good value, the locations are very convenient, and their breakfasts are better than adequate. The pricing is acceptable.
I was not interested in premium price hotels or motels and imagery. Hampton Inns are always affordable, convenient, and provide a decent breakfast.

The beds at the Hampton Inn were incredibly comfortable. The Hampton Inn is close to the University of Virginia for anyone dropping a student off at school or planning on visiting the campus.

I've always been very pleased with the facilities and services at Hampton Inns. The one where I stayed in Charlottesville, Virginia, offers a hospital rate for people who are with a hospitalized family member. That's a big saving at a time when savings matter. Their staff has always been accommodating. The only problem I experienced during my last visit was that we spent most of the night without electricity due to a sudden storm. The surrounding area was without electricity also.
