Hampton Inn South Jacksonville Hotel

The hotel overbooked their rooms, and did not honor my "Confirmed" online reservation. The front desk staff and assistant manager were very unconcerned. The general manager was slightly more attentive to fixing their mistake.

It was close to UNF and they offer a UNF discount. They offer an early sit-down and take-away breakfast which was okay. They also offer late check-in. The handicap rooms are okay. The other rooms are in dire need of updating. I stay there every few weeks.

This hotel made me feel respected: They take pride in business travelers, this may be because it is situated in a large business park with lots of competition. They also cater to UNF families with a significant discount. They are friendly and show hospitality.

They were considerate because we were going to the Mayo Clinic.
