Hampton Inn Portsmouth Hotel

It is hard to find, but it is a nice inn and I would recommend it to others.

The location is great, it is in the middle of a busy spot and near restaurants and shopping, the people are great and they are very helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable.

The location isn't bad, it's close to shopping, and food, but you have to go through the Home Depot parking lot to get there. The hotel signs aren't very big or easy to find. The staff is pleasant, and work hard to make your stay comfortable, but the maid didn't clean my room one day and missed the trash, trash bag, and towels, on separate occasions. The rooms are average, and I'd like to see more chairs than one. The closet is good but the ironing board takes space, and I'd like to see an in room safe for valuables. The beds are comfortable and you have a big selection of pillows. The laundry facilities include only two washers and dryers for guests, not really enough if they plan on having a lot of long-term guests. They also need to list rules of use so that people don't have to wait forever for someone to remove their clothes to be able to use it. The pool is nice and they have a mural of Portsmouth sights done beautifully on the wall, it looks as if you are on the beach, looking out over the water. They have a continental breakfast every morning, and a happy hour every evening.

It's an excellent hotel, clean, convenient, professional, and has a personable staff.
