Hampton Inn Niceville Eglin AFB Hotel - Page 1

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times; however, they've made some huge improvements with the staff and the accomodations recently. I've stayed twice since March 2008 and both times the hotel was meticulously clean and the staff is warm and friendly .... calling me by name and remembering how I drink my coffee. This is a lovely place!

I came into town for a 3 day thanksgiving stay with my parents, and thankfully, my folks pre-paid my hotel stay: Or so I thought.

Upon arrival, they took my card, ran it, and told me that it was for "incidentals". After my first night's stay, I headed out, leaving the majority of my things in the room to enjoy my family.

Upon returning that night, I was told that the room was only paid for 1 night, and that my belongings had been removed, put into a trash bag, and hidden away in a housekeeping closet. Furthermore, my card as well as my father's were charged for 3 nights, with the management telling us that we had only paid for 1 night.

Yeah. 1/10.

The hotel was generally okay. However, the front desk was not equipped to deal with small requests for a handicapped person. These had been requested in advance. A shower chair and a vanity chair. The front desk person was surly and uninformed about the ADA laws. I loved the breakfast and the consistency of the room from others that I've stayed at.

This hotel made me feel practical: The amount of the room charge was improved by the fact that breakfast was included.

It was a nice stay.

The location was very convenient to the facility I visited. The rooms were very nice and the daily breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
