First, this hotel is not actually a riverview hotel. There are maybe 10 rooms with an actual riverview and the staff will not guarantee that you will get a riverview regardless of the price you pay. My family and I would have stayed at the hotel...
Room was clean and staff were extremely nice!!! Yes, it isn't close to everything but for the price compared to others I can drive or ride the shuttle. Free breakfast was awesome. Lots to choose from. Eggs, fruit, bagels, & biscuits with gravy. ...

Its always nice. It has a good breakfast. The breakfast room attendants were super. The inn should be proud to have such good employees. They were just great.
Front desk employees were friendly and efficient.
I am very likely
to return to the Hampton Inn Cincinnati-Riverfront.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
Check-in was a breeze. The room was very nice and clean. Bus stop was very close to the hotel, allowing us to travel to Newport on the Levyon Saturday, and the Bengals game on Sunday. Major benefit to avoid traffic and exorbitant parking prices in ...

We had previously stayed at a Hampton Inn in Niagara Falls, Canada, and it had been a great place to stay, so choosing this Hampton Inn in Covington, KY seemed to be a logical decision. I was disappointed in this Hampton Inn. We stayed 4 nights.
This Hampton Inn offered only one rotating hot breakfast per day, vs. the two offered at the Canada location. This meant that on a couple of the mornings, we didn't like the hot selection at all - ironic, since the availability of hot selection(s) was one of the primary reasons for us to choose a Hampton Inn vs. a hotel that offers only cold continental breakfast selections.
The coffee pot in the room was filthy! When I brewed some hot water for evening tea, it came out yellow and there was a great deal of sediment floating around the pot, with an awful smell.
Most days, we'd return to our room after sightseeing, to find that the cleaning staff had not replaced things - bath mat, cold drink cups, etc. One evening I went down to the breakfast room to get juice cups as it seemed faster and easier than calling the front desk and waiting for someone to bring some.
Overall, I would not recommend this particular Hampton Inn, and the experience has made me want to avoid Hampton Inn in the future. Guests should be able to count on a similar level of quality across a hotel chain, but that doesn't seem to be the case with Hampton Inns.
Also, unlike previous reviewers noted, we did not receive any discount coupons to attractions or restaurants, and there was no snack waiting for us each day. I can only conclude that this hotel has been going downhill since those last reviewers stayed.
