Have stayed at Hale Koa 4 times over years past. Would not stay anywhere else in Honolulu. Need to remind future visitors that the $59 rate is probably for lowest ranking military person, As your rank/grade moves upward, the rates are scaled appropriately. To be expected and understandable. Amenities and location to other touring spots on the island is ideal. You won't be disappointed should you have opportunity to visit the Islands.

I am very likely to return to the Hale Koa Hotel (Military Only).
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Based on the price you can't beat it! The rooms are starting to show their age but it's significantly better than your standard VOQ. Great food, service, facilities. If you're military or government service on vacation...you should seriously consider it.

Simply cannot be beat for the price. The restaurants were amazing, and the service was first rate. I will return again (and again and again), likewise I would definitely recommend to anyone eligible to stay here. Rooms needed to be updated (mainly bathroom) but that was small potatoes when compared to the amenities. I mean, come on man our room looked right over Waikiki beach!

This was my 18 time visiting and staying here at the Hale Koa. What can i say it is a joy to stay there. I always stay int eh old tower. The pools, superior restaurants, fitness center, what more could anyone ask for. The beautiful grounds. The rooms need updating, they are more in line with a typical hotel on the mainliand. There is no island feel about them. I would recommend this hotel for anyone elligible. Price is very reasonable for what they ahve to offer. I enjoy the security there that I know I am only with the military. So nice to meet the older military families from the past and sit and talk with them.

The hotel has an excellent location on Waikiki, check in and check out are easy and the hotel has people who will take your luggage to your room for you. The Sunday brunch is phenomenal!

This hotel made me feel comfortable: They have everything that you may need right in the hotel.

I am very likely to return to the Hale Koa Hotel (Military Only).

The hotel was clean and friendly for the most part. The laundry facilities were not the best for as many people that were trying to use them. The soap dispenser was out of order a couple different times while we were their during our two week stay. All in all it was a good experience.

The hotel was centrally located and it was very nice. Our room overlooked Waikiki Beach. They had super service and a very friendly staff.

It's a great location, with beautiful grounds, and an incredible value if you are eligible to stay. I love the pools and beach. The rooms and bedding need to be upgraded to give more of an island getaway and vacation feel to the hotel. Overall, a great experience, this was my fourth time there, and I will return.

This hotel made me feel content: The Hale Koa is all-military and is a home away from home for many of the guests. We often see some of the same guests from previous visits at the same time of year.

I am very likely to return to the Hale Koa Hotel (Military Only).
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This hotel was excellent. The accommodations were superb and the price was right. The location, right on Waikiki beach could not have been better. The restaurant was superior regarding both food and service and having an exchange at which to shop only made the experience even more enjoyable. Their Christmas programs were so much fun.

This hotel made me feel respected: We were treated very well by all of the employees, the front desk staff, the restaurant and the exchange staff and the cleaning people.

33 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Our room, though clean, felt slightly worn and dated. We found out another wing had been renovated but not ours. We did not use the facilities in the hotel much but the staff was friendly and the food at the restaurant we did eat at was deliciously made. The prices were higher than we were expecting. The parking was inconveniently located across the street as it rained our entire stay.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Hale Koa Hotel (Military Only).
I might recommend it to friends.
