Hale Koa Hotel (Military Only)

We brought our two Granddaughters (teens) to the Hale Koa in July 06 for 8 nights and it was a fantastic stay. The Girls loved everything about it, the beach, the beautiful swimming pool, the Lovely Gardens & Flowers, BX and it was close to all the Shopping in downtown Honolulu. No real complaints although the pricing in the Restaurants may be a little on the high side.....We have Reservations for 12 nights this coming August and the Girls are really looking forward to it as are my Wife and I..........Bill Strouse

Have been to the hale koa 4 times and each time I and my family find more things to do there. The mwr has an office and easy to line things up. The pools right by the beach are fantastic. Having a snack bar close is nice. Love it. Took my sister and her family. Rooms are priced per room not per guest.

Its been 6 years since i stayed at the Hale Koa Hotel while we were stationed in Hawaii. I still remember and love the place. The hotel was amazing, from the lobby to the astonishing pools. We would sometimes just spend the weekend there for fun, even though we had perfectly fine housing like half and hour away.

This hotel is the best kept secret on any Hawaiian Island! I stayed in the new (and completely renovated) tower. The room was spacious, each has a balcony (mine gave a great view of Waikiki Beach), the restaurants are above-average, there is a full sized exchange, fitness center, activities center, 3 pools, and exceptional customer service all surrounded by the most lush and picturesque landscaping I've ever seen. It's the second military resort I've stayed on (Shades of Green, FL) and they are hands down the best overall deal for the price. My room was approx $140 per night compared to the $300 average anywhere else - and from what I understand for very average accommodations. There's no other place to stay in Honolulu!

Have stayed at Hale Koa 4 times over years past. Would not stay anywhere else in Honolulu. Need to remind future visitors that the $59 rate is probably for lowest ranking military person, As your rank/grade moves upward, the rates are scaled appropriately. To be expected and understandable. Amenities and location to other touring spots on the island is ideal. You won't be disappointed should you have opportunity to visit the Islands.
