This is a filthy dump. The owners have not even kept it up since it was built about 30 years ago.
The carpets are stained, there is a serious ant problem, rust on the inside of some windows, etc. I took many pictures to document the condition of the units we stayed in. I say units #339 and #251 because we demanded to be moved from the first one after the first night because it was so bad.
The second unit, # 251, was a filthy dump but it did have a nice view. Upon returning home I informed my travel agent at BCAA (AAA) and showed her the photos, they now no longer recommend Hale Kamaole to anyone.
We spent three hours with three people cleaning the first unit after an eight hour travel day before we would even think of sitting on the toilet, that is how bad it was, not to mention that I was not about to remove my shoes because I did not want my feet to get dirty from the filthy carpet.
After all that, the rental company would only refund us $300.00, we paid over $3500 to stay in this dump.
P.S. this was to be our family dream vacation, this was the sixth time to Maui for me, second for my wife and the first time for my children, what a huge let down. The owners of the condo and the people who operate Condominium Rental Hawaii (CRH) should be ashamed of themselves for misleading hard working people, as I mentioned the price, it works out to $250 US, a night.
