There wasn’t anything that we did not like about the Hacienda Vargas. The owners and their dog Max, a very well behaved standard Poodle, were very nice. The breakfasts were excellent and imaginative and presented with much pride.
The trees are huge and the flower beds made me envious and the skies are endless. There is also a train that runs at the back of the property which we found charming and each time it went by during the night, I got up and watched it go by. Needless to say, the charm of New Mexico, the hominess of the Hacienda Vargas, and the friendliness of the owners, was such that we fell in love with the West and have since moved to Edgewood, New Mexico.
