Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort

Not to be put off by the dusty road that ascends to this amazing gem of a resort nestled into the countryside with stunning views of the Santa Catalina Mountains. Our accomodations were in the Casita Grande which proved lovely, spacious and decorated with a truely delightful southwestern flavor. A private patio facing the mountains and a marvelous veranda facing south where we enjoyed our morning coffee - so very tranquil. The terraced pool and Hot Tub areas were so tastefully situated within the resort that you were able to appreciate the beautiful natural setting as well as the impeccable landscaping. Oh, the food! From our first evening, tired from travel and not knowing what we were hungry for we enjoyed a late night dinning experience on the patio which was magical. The grilled artichokes, crab cakes, andoille sausage, tenderloin of beef and a sirloin burger - all exceptional as was the service. If this wasn't enough we were treated to the talents of a very pleasing singer/muscian. Dinner the following evening at the Grill once again did not disappoint along with the more sophisticated southwestern decor. A wonerful breakfast buffet was partaken each morning and so graciously served on one of the two tables on the veranda just outside the grill. The fruit- so very fresh, the made to order omelets cooked to perfection and the pasteries so flaky and flavorful. We were discouraged only by the fact we had allowed ourselves two nights. To enjoy Tucson at its best the Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch is where you need to be!!
