I would pay more to stay at another hotel in honolulu. The room was terrible.

19 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
For the price we paid (two hotel rooms in the ali'i tower) we could have gotten a better view of the ocean. We were told we had an acean view, but were given the fourth flor and looked directly into a par. You could only see the ocean if you looked unde.
This hotel made me feel welcome: The ladies waiting on the people at the ali'i tower continental breakfast were more than willing to do anything and everything to make your stay and breakfast more than enjoyable.

First night we were there we couldn't remember our room number. When we called for that information, it was denied--not terribly courteous.
This hotel made me feel respected: Very courteous, respectful at check-in and with subsequent questions/requests.

Lawn chairs should be provided at the hawaiian village, no charge. Too big, not enough personal care. Extra charge even for a tea bag.
